Dear Dick, just build an schmit-trigger by Yourself. Take +5V Voltage for the phototransistor, and use a schmitt-Trigger-Nand 4093 after the optocoupler. Because of the hazard of fire and destruction of Your experimental equipment, please buy a Dummy Load for 1 kW. Buy a noisy KAM1300 (from DDR) ore try to get a huge wet attenuator . I bought one at HAM-RADIO (Rohde und Schwarz, 1 kW, output -40 dB, Z=60R, filled with "oleum paraffinium") for DM 250,-- (EU125,--) incl. transport home to me. 55, Hans-Albrecht, DK 8 ND -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht (HTML) wurde als Anlage beigefügt.----- Von: [email protected] Gesendet: 14.04.04 23:49:19 An: "Hans-Albrecht Haffa" Betreff: Re: LF: 136kHz station components

First off all thanks to Jeff for delivering the adress of an distributor in the Netherlands.
Unfortunatly they only deliver to firm's and not to individuals.......
Meanwhile I offered some of the difficult parts by them via an relative who runs
his own firm......
So, James thanks for your offering as well; I'll keep that in mind as a back up in case
my ordering turns out to a negative.
Thanks also to Hans-Albrecht for the tips on cores, I'll save that information, just in case.....

On comment on your mail Hans-Albrecht, you said you using the CNY17 or other opto-couplers,
but the one used in David's design is one with a Schmitt-trigger built in, and I do not know
if that can be replaced by a normal standard one.

I started to build the 1000 Watt adjustable dummyload for my power supply.........

It certainly turns out to be a large time-consuming project, this 136kHz station prepairing.
A lot off other stuff needed to test the several parts has to be made, hihi.

Well, now go to bed.......

73!
