EIRP of DCF39 is about 40kW (+/-46dBW), so ERP about 44dBW
Few hams reach the 1 W ERP limit , most are even 6..10dB weaker.
So the "gap" is at least 44dB maybe even up to 50dB.

That 36dB advantage of DCF39 looks like a big hurdle to overcome. However
the signal was very strong at the 60 second dot setting and also the keying
sidebands were quite clear and there can't be much energy in those relative
to the carrier. I will try the 20 second dot setting tonight. Bob ZL2CA will
also be watching.
