Hi Simon other than the fact that people are down here because the build
things and like experimenting, I suspect the magnetometer is probably not as
much use to the LFer as it is to the VHFer. There is a 2 to 3 day gap at LF
before any radio effects of a geomag storm are felt, plenty time to be lazy
and consult NOAA (like I do). I do have a load of measurements from Andy who
built up one from a sensor (and probably a PIC) but we never raised much
enthusiasm for it, or the output. The "centre of gravity" of the LF
community is probably below the viewing zone as well......you will have to
chase all those Scottish microwave men.
