Tnx to all who replied on this subject. BFI seem to be the preferred UK supplier for micrometals. I actually need some of the smallest cores T20-2 or similar for a bank of sixteen 11th order elliptic filters for multiple anti aliassing filters in a digital receiver.

Unfortunately some US companies only use Fed Ex to deliver overseas which puts on a ridiculous surcharge. Recently I wanted some 6GHz divider chips from Hittite Microwave - which could be ordered via their web site for $5 each, with no minimum order charge. Got to the bottom of the order form - and FedEx delivery was compulsory overseas with a $99 charge. So I just bought them from an individual who keeps a few specialist chips for the amateur market and paid ?9 each for a higher frequency 13GHz device instead.

Ordering by credit card from the US is fine for private purchases, and probably for those in small private companies, but here we have to go through tortuous purchase ordering processes from approved companies - so that 'public money is not wasted'. However, I have used my credit card and claimed back the expenses before now where 'speed was of the essence'

The main UK importers are BFI Opilas at Milton Keynes. But beware minimum
order values if they are not in-stock.

I have the -2 material in 200 157 and 92 dimensions
I also some of the -3 material in 130 and 157.....But it's quite 'lossy' at
LF and probably unsuitable for 136kHz.

All cores can be ordered on line from Amidon in the USA with a credit card
