Dear Ian, After I obtained a battery fed selective level meter (W & G SPM-12) I prefer to use that for FS measurements together with a single turn untuned loop of 1 x 1 square metre because there is no need for calibration. There is a simple relation between FS and voltage induced in the loop. I don't know whether you possess a suitable battery fed SLM but if you do it is far less work to construct the loop than my portable FS meter plus Helmholtz coils for calibration. Instead of the SLM you could use a battery fed receiver with an S-meter. At home you could translate the S-meter readings into voltages using a signal generator. 73, Dick, PAoSE At 19:27 25-4-03 +0100, you wrote: I have a pressing desire to establish my E.R.P. and to that end am setting |
