Hi all, it is interesting that is a broad agreement between Brian's plots of
DCF39 and Steve's last night. Both show considerable enhancement between
0430z and 0630z over what we have seen in recent weeks. As Brian's plot (my
propagation pages) shows the levels in CT are only just peaking the
"benchmark" average level, where Steve's longer distance results show a
rather better result. It is rewarding to see that Laurie did manage to pass
a few elements to Lawrence KL1X in Anchorage even under those conditions. I
think we want a few days of quiet geomagnetic conditions to reach the best
conditions. The Kp index have been hovering in the 3 to 4 range almost daily
recently. This seems to keep the D-layer just a little bit too active for
our purposes.

Well done all,
Cheers de ALan G3NYK
