Hi Dick, nice copy from your transmission today. I will compress the screen
shots and send you a copy (the bit-maps are a bit big) direct. I have not
worked out why the contrast is a little low. Maybe it is the
signal-to-noise, I am using an SSB bandwidth and have some TV interference
higher in frequency.
I think I could just hear the signal from Wolf in the noise (and possible
some elements on the waterfall) but there was no copy on screen. I dont
think my present short aerial is as good as the longer one.
Your description of the typing technique reminds me of the days I used to
send RTTY on a Creed 7B. It was possible to beat the keyboard occasionally
on that when it would lock solid, and you would have to release the key and
press again. I learned to type with a steady slow cadence that kept the
rotor turning without allowing the keyboard to lock on me........ I still
made typos of course!!
I wont be around for your transmission tomorrow as I have another local
rally, a few miles up the road that I will be attending.
Thanks and Cheers de Alan G3NYK
