Software to generate two tone visual signalling is written and just needs
final testing, then I should be able to put out some test transmissions
within a day or so for evaluation of the technique. Are there any
preferred freqencies for these tests ? If not I'll go for the top end of the
band, centred on 137790.00Hz Since this mode has close to a 100% duty
cycle, transmitters will have to be wound back a bit so tests will be either
at 5 Watts from a small test PA (approx. 300uW ERP) or 400 Watts from the
biggie, (24mW ERP)

Initially, parameters will be something like 1 minute per tone with a tone
spacing of 0.5Hz, giving a bandwidth of 3Hz, 1.5Hz above and below the
nominated frequency.

Coding will be as per Rik's posting, viz :

(1 = lowest tone .. 7 = highest tone) :
A = 11  H = 21  O = 31  V = 41  0 = 51  7 = 61  space   = 71
B = 12  I = 22  P = 32  W = 42  1 = 52  8 = 62  report 'O'      = 72
C = 13  J = 23  Q = 33  X = 43  2 = 53  9 = 63  report 'M'      = 73
D = 14  K = 24  R = 34  Y = 44  3 = 54                  report 'T'      = 74
E = 15  L = 25  S = 35  Z = 45  4 = 55                  'CQ'            = 75
F = 16  M = 26  T = 36                  5 = 56  / = 66  final 'K'       = 76
G = 17  N = 27  U = 37                  6 = 57  ? = 67  final 'SK'      = 77

Any ideas for a name for this mode ?. And lets stay away from Q codes :-(
