Hi Fellas, dont rip your rigs apart.....SXV went off air at about 2245z last
evening the 20th. Fortunately G3KEV and G6RO have been doing sterling work
keeping the band alive today.
The break is unfortunately timed as I was hoping to correlate the signal
strength from SXV over the next few days, with the changes wrought by the
CME impact on Friday ( which drove the Kp index up to 7 ). Friday's event
was a relatively isolated one in what has been a strangely quiet summer for
this point of a solar cycle. Earlier in the year the geomagnetic events were
running into one another, making it difficult to decide which particular
event was affecting the conditions.
Plots will be posted to Rik again for mounting on his web site as soon as
SXV returns.
