Hi Mal , I have been listening most of the day and have only heard testing
from Finbar this morning.( who you worked and is clean). I have been
watching at the bottom of the band for the return of the Greek Naval
station, which has been off-air for a few days now.
I wonder if you have a neighbour who has just got a new wide screen TV.
These produce and radiate power supply switching signals at around 35kHz and
its harmonics. The main signal is modulated by about 4 or 8 sidebands at
100Hz and often also 50Hz (often weaker than the 100Hz lines) spacing. I
believe that the radiation is via the coax braid on the aerial, it certainly
can travel quite a fair distance....100s of yards. Older conventional TV
sets dont seem to give this kind of trouble. So much for EU EMC legislation.
