If you live near a fishing port go to the port equipment shop and get some
crab pot spinners. These are light weight polysterene devices, white in
colour, shaped like a flat dog bone and very strong with an eye at each end.
There are two sizes available.
10.5 cms long x 3.2 cms wide in the middle and the other larger size is
11.5 cms long x 4.2 cms wide in the middle.
Use 2 or more of these in series if necessary. So far they have never given
me any trouble with flash over or melt down. I have not taken any special
precautions keeping them clean but that is easy to do if required.
