Dave, G3YXM, writes in his LF column of RadCom of January
2001 that I measured the power of special event station MB2HFC at Old Windsor at
about 750mW EIRP. That is not correct, it was about 450mW EIRP (823mW
ERP).
The measurement team consisted of three nationalities. David,
G0MRF, provided transport; Geri, DK8KW, determined the distance from
the transmitter with his GPS receiver and PA0SE operated his portable
homemade field strength meter. A description of the instrument can be found
