                               thanks for your contribution.
Some of your ideas are quite acceptable, and I will implement them, some others,
like the dB scale and the grid, perhaps are more suited, IMHO, for general 
purpose
programs, like your fine SpecLab, and less for a specific viewer for QRSS and 
DFCW.

About the saving of the FFT bins to a file for a later post-processing, that's 
a very
good idea. As you said, a common format would be very desirable.
I will give a thought to this, and perhaps will come out with a first skeleton 
for the
format.
