The signal from the SMALL mast is 5 db stronger than the LARGE Decca tower. As I mentioned in an earlier bulletin the comparison test is flawed. The large tower is vertical and the small antennas is but a LONG wire 9 metres above ground. Still puzzled why the small antenna is putting out a stronger signal. I would suspect the matching network to the large tower is poor or the large antenna is acting as a reflector, especially if a PA0 station reports the opposite. G3KEV |
