Insulators, it ought to be possible to check plastic by the same means as used for coil formers.Put a sample of the plastic in the microwave with a cup of water.Run for a minute or two, water should be hot but plastic remain cool!Assuming you can find a suitable plastic(toothbrush,water pipe etc) only remains to ensure a long smooth path from end to end so that water runs of
