Static is becoming a big problem again. Tips for newcomers to LF:(1) The static is usually much lower in the early morning - often none at all, even in August/September. Try breakfast time during the week. (2) QRSs contacts are very much less affected by S9 static than aural CW. (3) Contrary to what you would normally do, it sometimes works to widen the receiver bandwidth when trying to listen to a weak station in heavy static. It stops the filter 'ringing'.
