Graham Mine is performing fb this morning on 24 es 28 Mhz, no mods Antenna direct into the dongle. Cannot fault it so far and is also doing well on a test on the air band I have not tried the upper l

R Mal I think just under 24 is the limit for the standard device , next its adding the connection to the a/d , I use 2 , one std , the other hacked , that runs 20 + down to audio , to get 'good' 477

also It appears to be as good as the FLEX 3K on 24 es 28 Mhz CW and sensitivity good and selectivity more than adequate. I have a Datong converter IF 28 ES 144 Mhz so will have coverage right down to

Quite possibly , the dongle is only the rf-head translating the rf to a data stream , there seems to be some agc / gain in the head , but all the filtering and demodulation is handled by the software
