As far as I know there are only 2 RADIO AMATEURS WORLD WIDE ACTIVE on both MF and LF in QSO mode using CW. G3KEV and G3XIZ. I am equipped to TX/RX on both bands simultaneously. ie 500 and 137 Khz ban

I think often the RX end is the problem on LF/MF. For those in a noisy environment a move to a better QTH might be worth considering. Property prices at present seem reasonable for small farms or sma

French amateurs would love to be on 500, but do not at present have permits for it. On 137 we do have people having QSOs on CW (albeit slow). See some of the reports I and others have posted. 73 John

STRANGE !!!! AA1A copies me solid every time I work on 500 Khz and we have had some xband QSO'S. I have also had a QSO with Jay. I also get good reports on 137 Khz. from the USA and had several QSO'S

In QSO mode or BEACON, Jay is the only one I have heard on 500 in CW qso mode, but not on 137 mal/g3kev Yes and they are Bob W2ZM (WE2XGR/6, WE2XEB/1), Jay (WE2XGR/2, WD2XNS), John (WE2XGR/3,WD2XES),

Not to mention the 3 mile Beverage antenna starting at the beach from 052 deg. true and coming right by the house... Guess I got lucky on that one... Also not putting half of my power into the ground
