Can any of you knowledgable people tell me whether packet radio is still used on the bands now. Has it been overtaken by email/text? Is there a D-Star text service instead? Is it perhaps on VHF/UHF b

1200/300 baud 2 tone Its still running on vhf in some parts, the aprs gang use it for position reporting , using fm round 144850 ? , but if you take a tune on 14 meg , its still running in the usa ..
