Hello LF'ers I am having no luck with my mini whip antenna, for whatever reason it seems very deaf, so was wondering if I can home brew something like the magic box of tricks for the (expensive IMHO)

Hi Chris, I'm running this pre-amplifier attached to a single turn loop, an equilateral triangle with 10 metres of circumference (~13 uH). C1 (150nF here) is needed to block "KIL" (NDB, 353 kHz) at 8

That's an intersting and simple design. I have only found a few specs for that 1NA217 device, but even those are impressive in terms of THD and input noise voltage. Since it is good up to 800 kHz it'
