Uwe, today's SNR here would probably have been good for 5 characters and 30 s symbols - enough to send your full callsign or the name of our cat ;-) It looks like VLF QRM is lower here on Sundays and public holidays, perhaps because of less activity on the nearby freight railway switchyard. So it may not be as good tomorrow.
 
Paul I was worried that ebnaut-rx might also suffer from SoX clipping ("Hendrix-style") with my data but it does not. I fed a strong test carrier at a slightly off-center frequency, and the dots in the rawsyms constellation plot produced nice circles (rather than four corners of a square), so all is ok.

I prepared the EbNaut Sender for period 30 and chars 3, start same time tomorrow.
but, but,
it looks like WX changes here, dark clouds are running in.
so may be no TXing until the WX gets better.
