16 characters at 6470 Hz across a land path of almost 2000 km.

What a marvelous achievement!  Distinctly harder than trans-
Atlantic due to the overland attenuation.

Close to the limit, and only possible when everything is
adjusted to perfection and perfectly reliable.

Clearly this is not a mode of operation suited to the impatient.

It is not a record number of characters for the band, nor a new
distance record - but the combination is remarkable.

It is so rare in life to be able to do something which has never
been done before, especially something so close to impossible.
We are very lucky to be in this position, to have this green
field to play in and the technology to exploit it.
