Thank-you Jim for your info and advice on the transformer. While reading your reply I came up with an idea for keeping it cool -- put the silly thing in a big tub of water! With a choke input filter, the transformer will be more efficient, but the output voltage will be lower-- 0.9 * 55 = 50. I have a 12.6 20A xfmr that can be put in series. This should bring the output to 61 volts. 73 Joe |
