Thanks Henny and Jean for the reports. Until recently an external
preamp was always used with the ft-718, incuding receptions of
CT1DRP with a 30 cm 30 turn indoor loop. Good TA reception is possible
using the tuned 100m wire without a preamp.
Thanks also to DF6NM for his grabber. It seems the colour had
returned to normal after one evening with a blue (northernly) hue.
Also to G4WGT though it seems the sigs are reluctant to appear on his
spectra.
