Hello LF,

prompted by Alan Melia I've just done a bit of research into the
distance worked last night in my QSO with Peter G3LDO.

My geography of the south of England is poor... he told me his QTH was
"nr Worthing" but I didn't think this would be so far away! Peter was
unable to give an IARU locator last night but a quick visit to QRZ.COM
and www.nearby.org.uk gives me a rought estimate of IO90ST

QRB/QTE software gives the distance as 1052km / 644 miles

Previously my best DX was with Tom G3OLB at 1039km in August. This new
QSO with Peter 'LDO pushes me about as far as I can go until someone in
Cornwall appears on the band!

Anyone know of suitable GU/GJ stations they can persuade to tool up for
500?

Cheers,

John
