the SPM-3 handles symmetric ( bottom and middle port ) and
assymetrical signals ( bottom or middle port and upper port, which is
ground. ) If you take an ohmmeter you will not find a connection between
ground and bottom or middle port, but between bottom and middle port
something like 50Ohm. Hope this was the reason and the equipment is ok.
