Hi Brian,

Thank you for the photo & the following e-mails on the subject, some very
interesting reading & some over my head (HI. HI.), I notice from your photo
that the primary & secondary are not overwound but are separate windings,
the GW4ALG design I tried using a monitor line output transformer core was
secondary wound over primary, any comments on that? I will proceed to obtain
a couple of cores from David (G0MRF).

I have now completed the repair to the G0MRF transmitter & I have connected
the antenna matching back to the grounded, tapped input coil & the PA
mosfets don't get hot as they did before my PA failure when I was using the
monitor transformer core, I will try it again on the transformer & note the
difference(if any) to see if the matching arrangement has any bearing on
this.
