Hi all,
ZL6QH will carry out a ZL all-night beacon transmission, on Saturday 13
September, using the same format as previous times, with 120 second dot
length and 0.42 Hz FSK, with transmission code repeated QQQQQ.... as [hi hi
lo hi key up] :
hi = 137.7890 kHz
lo = 137.7886 kHz
Timing will be such that the start of a Q coincides with the hour, and
there
are six Qs per hour.
The DDS exciter has a frequency shift of 0.42 Hz, and the tones should be
within 0.1 Hz of the declared frequencies. If the SSB backup exciter needs
to be called upon, the frequency shift is 0.4 Hz.
Nomimal sunset at ZL6QH on 13 September is 0600 UTC
Nominal sunrise at ZL6QH is 1830 UTC
We will probably have the beacon running well before sunset, and also let
it
run well past sunrise.
Will be get a report from further away than The Americas? Good luck.
73, Bob ZL2CA
