Will be looking for you Ed.

All - we leave from here near from North of Acapulco Mexico this afternoon and get back into Anchorage at 0130 local Friday morning, .

On our brief listening watches on LF weve found conditions very noisy; no surpises there. Lots of QRN from mulitple tropical and worse storms. Weve detected DCF39 at every nighttime listening period, normally 0300-0400Z but signals have gradually got weaker during this week, though we are nearly 10 thousand K's away; I dont think its was the QRN increasing.

The L400B active eprobe has worked very well away from Alaska overtpolluted lower MF region and errected time onto/off the car roof is a few seconds. I do favor my larger loops for DXing given their nulls which may have helped here, but logisitcally this was the easiest deployment by far.

It looks like WD2xdw has been behaving itself since we have been away...

Laurence KL1X and codriver..
