Don't hold your breath, but I spent yesterday resonating my aerial for 73kHz
so plan to give it a try for my first 73kHz QSO. The effort will have it's
limitations in that I seem to be only able to get about 1/2 amp of aerial
current, the Datong converted is probably overloading and thus intermods
raise the noise floor, and as yet havn't solved the problem of creatiing
side-tone for the keying...

Subject: LF: 73khz First Tuesday activity
Dear all.
As Alan mentioned in his mail about propagation, Tuesday 4th is the first
Tuesday in March and should see the Rugby TX in the middle of the 73k band
quiet for at least the morning. If anyone is likely to be active I will
spend Monday afternoon running up and down the garden in an effort to get
the aerial tuned up on 72khz!
A warning to early risers; it often doesn't QRT until about 0900.
