Ok Paul ,

The upload's to the data bases are automatic , as long as your seeing the traffic via the web . listed on the opera app , all is working , you can run on a non-web linked pc , but you will only see local copy . I dont think the latest version will populate the search list from local decodes , so it will be single mode on 136/477
There is a adif auto qsl function as well , but Ive never used that
function, one of the user groups will be able to fill in the gap's on
that ..

I am running Opera on 136 only. To run on 477 would require me to stop monitoring WSPR2 to QSY the receiver, which I do not want to do.
I see, thanks for explaining that the speed and decoder is linked to band.
Now I understand.
I don't know if my spots will be uploaded. I have been asked to enable
this, but I do not see a setting to enable uploads.

Ok Paul,

Are you running 477 and 136 , or 136 only ?

The decoder mid band is set in the Configure >> Rig Panel , select
1500 or 2000, same panel, If your rx only , set ptt VOX , then its
inert ,

One of features , is the mode speed and decoder are linked to 'BAND' ,
stability requirements increase as the time extends, older versions
did have dual speeds for each band , but the latest version are
single speed, stability requirements increase with the longer modes ,

Afc is provided and no real advantage is gained from ultra stable
transmissions or repetitive same frequency cycles , [ other than a cross
check to decode frequency as validation for a correlation spot ]
Opera is designed to be run on normal 'ham' kit

Dual modes are provided for 477 and 136 'only', one-pass data decode is provided for all bands , on 136 this functions to ~ -40 dB s/n in 2.4 Khz b/w , after that , deep search [ correlation] detection against call sign list is automatically engaged as a second chance, providing additional -5 -6 db , same for the 477 Op8 band , first data decode ,
then detection against call list .

Example ,[ day time 477k] dual mode's , first spot , failed to decode , reported by second deep search , second spot full decode at -28 dB [
average] F 6% indicates 6% of the 256 data bits ,lost or at -3 dB
above the min decode level , the spots indicate which mode is reported

11:41 477 M0HGU de PA7EY Op8 Deep Search -32 dB in Amsterdam
12:00 477 M0HGU de PA7EY Op8 -28 dB F:6% in Amsterdam

Yes , spots are distributed to other users via the web , also a chat function , call to call and broadcast mode , psk-map spots are also unloaded directly , though , showing on the map is not as reliable as in
the past , the mode is listed in ADIF
