The rules of the Peter Bobek award deliberately allow any type of antenna, even a commercial one, as anyone can erect a 200ft vertical for about ten pounds (by using a kite). It does, however, prohibit the use of a special high power permit because the real point is to make the QSO with normal licensed ERP. This does not mean that a transatlantic QSO using 100W or even 1000W is not interesting or useful, but just that it is outside the award.
