Just for info to Johan and Stefan :

WOW ! Yes I rember the experiments of Dave G3YXM. My first QSO with him on 2 way or x-band 137 CW was 1999/05/15, now 16 years ago ! After I had some others including a cross band one at 2000/12/30 when he was QSY in GM.

Also, I was listening at his signal when he was trying his mobile antenna. He made a few successfull QSO but at low distance, and nothing heard on my side at 500 km ! HI. It was true mobile... The very old users of the LF band remember that. HI !

But it was easy, because in the years 1999 / 2003, when I was QRV CW on LF (250 Watts and a large Inv L), each saturday morning after a CQ we got 5 to 10 QSO. The activity was important. Now try that, and perhaps you get one QSO per month ? HI.

Hi Stefan,

G3YXM was mobile on 136kHz many years ago. See http://www.wireless.org.uk/mobile.htm , scroll down to middle of page.

If it is possible on 136kHz then it should be a piece of cake on 475 :-)

Hmm, i find someone should do a real mobile (mobile-mobile, with a velocity > 0) experiment.
