Tnx Eberhard,

I think with post dsp processing the dynamic range is increased in narrow window ? but in 3 MHz will be 42 ~ ?
There is a version of the software that enables use to be made of
the AD directly , needs the Rf feed to be attached to one of the
pins , not the main input , with then no need for the converter (not
tried yet as my original installation failed will need to remove and
start again)
but for  £13 , not  a bad  system !

hi Graham

any problems : 8-Bit ADC => bad dynamic range 48dB, real:
(8-1)Bit => 42dB

frequency-drift from the onboard-tuner  E4000  (50MHz up to 2.2GHz, a
hole from   1.1GHz to 1.25GHz)

frequency-drift from the konverter LO 67.899MHz

but good usable as very simple spectrum-analysator.
