Dear LF Group,
some time ago I was looking for a Linux application to control
a trasmitter for sending QRSS and, not finding much, I tried to
write one myself.
After several weeks of late evening coding I ended with a program
which includes the QRSS/DFCW transmission functions and a spectrogram
display. To be compatible with Rik's QRS it uses the same pins of
the serial or parallel port to control the TX, so the hardware interface
is the same.
If you are interested in trying the current "alpha version", you
can find the C source code at http://www.qsl.net/in3otd/glfer.html ,
together with a longer description and a screenshot.
Future versions will (hopefully, hi) have more features, depending
also on your feedback; the code is released as open source so
you can contribute with your code, if you wish.
Happy Linuxing on LF,
