The Quantum is the next thing in mass communication and encryption. Entanglement and electron spin direction. We have our own Great Paul Dirac to thank for the great work he did in this field but never really honoured here in the UK IMHO. Typically it seems the Chinese have taken the lead in this work or at least funding it in a big way. Copper / silicon can only do so much and the need is for more bandwidth and better encryption is promised by this technology.
