Many thanks again for report!
That 0.4s, as evidenced by Domenico, indicates that NTP service running on my PC was sometimes insufficient to ensure an adequate time precision. I'd try soon to improve it using directly the NMEA data.

All the best

Rob has sent his wave file coming from the Spectrum Lab EbNaut recorder

With the help of the linux programs vtwavex i have converted it in the vlfrx-tools native .vt file and i have attempted the decode.

Indeed the only possible decode is Riccardo's transmission of 2108-01-27_23:00 obtained with 0.4s of time offset

initial reference phase 58.9 amplitude 7.760e-02
phase   0    0    0    0    0
found rank 0 ber 3.8095e-01 Eb/N0 1.4 M -1.078971028e+00 ph 0 0,0,0,0 [73]
carrier phase: 2.3 deg
carrier Eb/N0: 3.2 dB
carrier Es/N0: -11.53 dB
carrier S/N: 13.73 dB in 496.0 uHz, -19.31 dB in 1Hz, -53.29 dB in 2.5kHz

Then I have investigated on failed decodes on my frequency slot at that hour.
Knowning the message 'IZ7SLZ' and using the signal analysis function of EbNaut I found (with +0.001 Hz of frequency offset):

carrier phase: -113.4
carrier Eb/N0: -7.2 dB
carrier S/N: 8.09 dB in 595.2 uHz, -24.16 dB in 1Hz, -58.14 dB in 2.5kHz

Maybe >6 dB  are necessary to pass my full callsign in 30 minute of transmission.

Thanks again Rob for the attempt.

Rob,
that 'wave' file should be ok.

Paul Nicholson includes the program 'vtwavex' in his vlfrx-tools that can extract signals from a WAV file.

Thanks

Domenico,

The single file that I saved for last night was the decimated FFT file (.wav file) using the Spectrum Lab Wave Recorder.  The file covers the entire RX session starting at 2059 UTC and runs until I stopped recording about 1030 UTC this morning (sample rate: 10.766602/sec, RX freq: 1000.000 Hz (137545.000 Hz RF center frequency), File Size: 3.77 MB).

Will this file work for you?

Rob

Thanks dear friends Jay and Rob for the your efforts on trying to decode my small signal.

Is it possible to have from you the Spectrum Lab raw files with the info needed to convert them (using DF6NM's program)  in 'wave' format (i.e. sample rate, FFT lenght, center frequency) or can you share the files already converted in 'wave' format ?
I would like to attempt a decode using vlfrx-tools: with diagnostic tools -f15 -f16 -M 'IZ7SLZ' i will look for the missing dB's.
Thanks in advance.

Another attempt tonight. Same parameters (6 char, 3 s/sym, crc16, 8K19A)
Qrq is 137545.2 Hz
(The script is ok now!!)
Every hour from 21.00 utc 'til 07 utc of tomortow)

No decodes as you were outside of my receive range.

LF,
my previous  transmission's announcement was wrong.

Since i have run an obsolete setup file, the transmissions succeeded but on 137540.0 Hz  (instead of 137545.2 Hz) with 6
char, 3 s, 8K19A, CRC16.
I hope that receiving attempts can be done anyway. Sorry for the trouble.

I will send now, via daytime propagation, an 'hope' message on 137540 Hz, 38 characters 0.5 s/sym 8K19A, CRC16
at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30.

Finger crossed also for that situation !
