At that price, and that PA efficiency (15 amps at 13.8V for 50W out - very low) you'd have thought they could have dual-banded it, 137kHz and 475kHz
A broadband linear PA, 100 - 500kHz is hardly rocket science

Its a very solid unit, a true transverter, 50w out continuous with 90-100w intermittent duty with increased PA voltage and a receive section that is like no other.  The roofing filters make a huge difference and it has made the difference between hearing someone and not on many occasions.

I highly recommend if you have some disposable cash...
