Hi all LF-ers...
During the year 2004 (1.1.-31.12.2004) will be QRV special event station
OM100TS (100=100 years TS=Tone System) on all LF, HF and VHF/UHF/SHF/MW
bands, but mostly on LF with mode DFCW. Why? Because on 10. of may 1904 (100
years ago) had J.Murgas patented the "Tone System of Wireless Telegraphy"
(in principle is the same as DFCW). Because it's 100-th anniversary of this
patent, the famous patent of J.Murgas - Slovak inventor of radio, we will
celebrate this year with this callsign to remember him.
JOSEPH MURGAS(1864-1929) - Catholic priest from Slovakia. Artist and
scientist. Had patents on "Tone System of Wireless Telegraphy" which he sold
to Marconi.
