With the A index gradually reducing in number im beginning to see signals from dcf39 coming in over the pole - its still a tadge early for the path to be open but ill be looking in the Eu window circa 136.172/4 and leave op32 running. Also will be running MF wspr2 /jt9 on request rx/tx for poss pre Eu dawn openings - the window is short, id say more fleeting, mostly Dec and January where max mutual darkness exists. Openings to Alaska have not occured every year and 2003 remains the best year to date on 136/7 - lets see if we can beat it this year. There is still a path to VK on 475 from KL7 and further locations which is proving very interesting given "only" wspr2 decode levels are being used. Tx wise Ive installed an Eu tx loop for 136 and the not so efficient Forest bound Marconi for 475. Vy 73 Laurence KL7L bp51. WE2XPQ |
