Yes... all you'll need for 8.3 kHz
is make another coil of same size, but wind ~ 3.5 times as many turns
(1160) of 3.5 times thinner wire (0.32 mm).
Try it!

OP2H/DS...
RR DEX, that looks fine! And it gives an impression
between coils at 30 kHz to coils at 9 kHz.

I've received a lot
of questions about the new coil:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2s04hl1zhs4qfhd/25mh_coil.jpgThe
form is a pool chemical container from about 20 years past.
Resorting to a
more sensible measurement standard I conclude the following:
Total turns
counts 325
Coil length 375 mm
This indicates a wire size of AWG 17
which is 1.15 mm diameter (375 mm
/ 325 turns = 1.1538 mm per
turn)
Coil diameter 350 mm
This calculates to approximately 24 mH
which is close to the 25 mH I
initially measured which I later revised to
26.1 mH.
However I've made so many calculation errors recently this also
may
change :)
