Jim/all - thanks for the sigs - the geomag has knocked off 25dB off DCF39 when I checked at 2200z, so not surprisingly nothing seen over the path this morning - Ive got the noise reduced (from the computer and PSU) by not using the low level audio from the back of the R75, but using the extension speaker socket which introduces less noise, that and keeping the Dells external power reduced from 19V to 12V, and using a different locally purchased PSU is producing good results.

So as not to confuse Ive changed my Argo clock to show GMT - Looking again tonight on 136.320  KHz +-4Hz  dot30slow

Ive persuaded the laptop to reduce its smpsu noise by replacing it with a different non dell 12v device and its reduced the noise a lot (ie less than s1 with the R75 preamp 1 on). Now can I do the same thing with these pesky tstorms peaking 10 over.
