Thanks Joe - up till today (or yesterday) Ive always taken DCF39 as a relative Gold standard for calibrating against globally.

Conditions look like they are coming up a bit - Budapest was just about audible level this morning (0500 local) under the hubbub. Its interesting using the SDR IQ at looking at some 190Khz of bandwidth - seems as though 137-138KHz is one of the most noisest spots from local in building and plc noize - its about 12 dB better at 135.5. but still only in the -80's, no wonder I dont hear/see much unless its strong.

Day Long term stability test (at LF) shows the "IQ" doesnt budge at dot120 at 20 deg room temp I can see. I have to knock the IF gain back a bit to 12dB at night otherwise I get clipping, and putting the NB on to any level brings up Loran audibly (its strong here at around -55dBm). First few days of operation and comparison against R75 with Argo on 500 and 137Khz shows comparable results under my operating conditions. I rather like it, once you learn how to drive it..

Hi Laurence,

Yes, it appears as if DFX39 has drifted a bit here as well.

Cheers
