sorry I hadn't sent the first announcement to the
group. I had intended to send only a 2 hour test carrier for Uwe
DJ8WX, but as things were going so well I ended up doing a 6 hour
transmission ;-)
Unfortunately I can transmit only occasionally when
the weather is dry and calm. But not when it is sunny and warm, as my
neighbours will then want to enjoy their gardens and be annoyed by the
high-pitched beep from the coil. My signal is also rather weak because
antenna current and ERP are limited by the 25 kV voltage withstand of the
antenna and coil.
Anyway I'm glad to read about your interest in
amateur VLF operations. It's not an easy undertaking but certainly
rewarding!
