guess it should be my turn to
explain those inner workings. There have been bits and pieces of
information in various discussions on both RSGB groups. The
source code is open, but I have not yet gotten around to write up
anything like a comprehensive summary. To be done...
No there is no external clock or rational frequency
number required, any stable frequency will do. The term coherent should
refer to phase continuity across the gaps, so the AM spectrum will contain
a distinct and narrow central peak.

Hello the list,
Can someone point me to a description of how deep
search works (not how to install/run the software!). Also, as to the coherent
aspect- is this just an accurate transmit frequency or are the individual 'bits'
for lack of a better term synched to an external clock such as GPS derived
standard. I'm thinking that this may be related to Coherent CW (CCW)?
