Hello Scott, LF,
From Fox Harbour (7270x, 5930z), weak red and green daytime traces were still visible yesterday, until they ended abruptly at 17:10 (five ticks below the midnight marker). The fat green trace in the Williams Lake slot is not Canadian but an artifact from the unlisted Russian chain, operating cochannel GRI 5990 from the Cauacasian region.
As far as I can see, Chinese Loran also has been off for a few weeks now. Europe, Russia, Japan (Gesashi), and two of the Saudi Arabians are still active.
Why do all good things come to an end?
Kind regards,
Markus

I just witnessed the switch off of the Canadian Loran C system. As of about 0500 UTC the last remaining loran line disappeared from the grabber.
