Hi John.
Hi Marcus,
Very interesting. What software are you using with the sound card, please?

It's a nice software written by G3PLX, Peter, named GPS Locked LORAN
Receiver.
It uses the pps from a gps receiver applied to the LF rig antenna input at
very low levels as time & frequency reference source.
The software finds this pulses and uses them to lock the sound card sample
rate timing and audio center frequency (1750Hz nominal) to gps pps.
Requires a stable LF rig with 1Hz frequency accuracy tuned to 98.25KHz on
USB, the widest IF filter avialable (300 ... 3000). The PC clock must be
locked to any NTP server or any other method that keeps the PC time accurate
to 1 second or less.
There is a built in Loran chain database where the GPS itself is the GRI
10000 and have the same lat/lon as the receiveing station. Using this
database & station lat/lon it calculates and overlap the screen mask for the
chain currently monitored.
Several other measurements such as TOA, phase and relative amplitude of the
received signals, a simple log feature or screen shots (scope & waterfall)
manual save exists on it.
It's being modified and tested for some time now and in few days there will
be a link to download it.
