Hi Peter,

that was about 10 years ago. Yes, it's all down. At that time the Italian Navy was considering to put the Mediterranean chain in operation again. I was involved in the technical study - the two TX were in bad conditions, one partly operating, the other cannibalized, open panels, air ducting dismounted. There were a Digital PDP-8 to restore, too... :-(
I just pulled the binder with the full manual of the TX (AN/FPN-44A) 
from my shelf. Possibly there is a figure for the average power. More later ...
