- its quite interesting you received PVQ - its one NDB I/we actually use to Fly from Anchorage to Deadhorse on our Company 737's daily. Laurence - on your next trip could you do a little sleuthing and find out what they recently did to PVQ? It has gone from one that was almost never heard down here by anybody and now is a nightly regular...even when many of the usual regulars are missing! Either a big new antenna or more power...maybe both....and why now, when most Alaskan ndb's are fast being decomissioned? Is there a sudden increase in air traffic to Deadhorse for some reason?
