Jim,

The spots from Jim .  M0BMU , don't  quite make sense as the  distance is  only  38 Km  as there is nearly  30 db range .over the  last days ..Gary G4WGT who is 33 Km from me records 1 or 2  db change in the signal level of my  wspr  signal  (apart from last night where I was running  down to  50 mW feed to the Ae) ... Is this some form of aircraft flutter  or something ? as I would  of  thought it was  simply  ground  wave ?

Any  ideas  anyone ?

Dear LF

At a stroke, side bands gone, 25watts found, sigs increased!  I?d like to say I planned it that way but sister Serendipity was on my side!

I just moved the impedance matching transformer from in the shack to the base of the coil and re-adjusted the taps on both.   IC735 now happily firing 50watts out as opposed to 25 watts and it seems that the dreaded side bands are gone.  Let?s see if it stays that way.

With best regards
